m new in the arduinos world and i
m very enthusiastic about it, but i have a problem. I cant display anything in my lcd at all. I
va got a board which is called grove-base shield, and i have a 16*2 lcd.
In my board, youve to connect the components with a unique entry that supports 4 wires. It
s very nasty because im working on projects that need a lcd... I
ve been surfing the web and i found a library called SerialLCD, but it doesntt work at all. Could anyone give me hand with this problem? Thanks.
You should start by typing the term 'LCD' into the search box at the upper right. Somewhere on the 40 pages of results you may find something helpful.
Start with the basics, just the Arduino board and the LCD on a breadboard. Follow the tutorial here http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/LiquidCrystal and carefully wire it up and load the example in the Arduino software. Once you get that to work build from there.

If he is using a 'grove-base shield' then he may very well not have a breadboard.
