The code 'C' is often used for the voltage. So C10 is 10V zener diode.
The 'PH' is an addition by the manufacturer.
The actual diode type is sometimes not printed on the component.
Thanks for the reply. Yes i thought that the 10 was 10v, so i am assuming PH might be Philips?
How do i find out the ratings of this Zener Diode? I still cannot find a datasheet?
Also what does the BZV85 part stand for, as i have seen BZX79, BZV55, BZX284 (all C10's)?
Caltoa:
It is a 1.3W Zender diode.
Some manufacturers put the label "C10PH" on the BZV85-C10.
The PH is not Philips. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=datasheet+bzv85
You say it is not Philips and then link to an NXP datasheet. Next you will be saying it's not Motorola and sending us to Freescale.
There have been so many major mergers and acquisitions in this industry over the last dozen or so years it's hard to keep track of who is who. The way things are going, pretty soon everyone is going to be TI.
