Help in building my first robot

Well, I'm working on my first robot with a friend..But i got a problem in building (decorating) the robot..I'm going to use 4WD Small plastic chassis (motors, wheels and battery holder are with the chassis), an ultrasonic sensor, BT module,2 red LEDs. So my first problem (when i finish this problem i will post the other question)..I want to cover the body of the robot (chassis) so the wires wont get cutted..So, which you are recommending for me..A car,A turtle or something other (no servo for the UltraSonic).

I would recommend a car body since it would be odd for a turtle to have wheels.

If you are only asking about the body shape I don't think that is an Arduino question.

Use whatever you prefer.

I think a turtle car would look cool

Ok, well..Also if you have ideas you could tell me here.

Having some other noob problems.. First, must i do soliding for the wires to the arduino? Second, i need a simple obstacle avoiding code.. (4 wheels)

Chassis I am using : http://mobile.ram-e-shop.com/cat/mobile/product_info.php/products_id/2363

US Sensor : http://mobile.ram-e-shop.com/cat/mobile/product_info.php/products_id/907

Motor Shield : http://mobile.ram-e-shop.com/cat/mobile/product_info.php/products_id/2598

Third, I'm connecting the 4AA battery holder to the motor shield power place using a tut..And i want to connect a switch, so which pins i connect to the wires?

Switch : http://mobile.ram-e-shop.com/cat/mobile/product_info.php/products_id/1650

First, must i do soliding for the wires to the arduino?

No thats a big no for now. Do you have an arduino?, it is a prototype board so you just plug in your jumpers and connect everything on a breadboard .

Second, i need a simple obstacle avoiding code.. (4 wheels)

Its not hard to give you code for that but, i think you need to try first.

Well the instructable link you gave has code there that you can download, i know its only for 2 dc motors but get that working first and then start playing with the code to figure out how to add additional motors.

Once you have that working and you have tried to add more motors and it is not working post your code and we can help you.

Answer on first question..ok i will use the motor shield pins as connectors of the US sensor (no prototype shield BTW and I'm using the same connecting way like that tutorial. Answer on second question..well, i will try to play with that code..and if i had any problems then i will post it here. But what about the third question?

I know that is may be not in rules but…Bump

If you mean "which pins i connect to the wires?" from Reply #5, the reason I have not replied is because I don't know the answer. You are the person who has all the equipment.

Ok first what is a tut haha?

You want to connect a switch, where and for what?

Do you want to have a switch to turn your power supply off and on?

If so then connect your red wire(positive+) from your battery holder to one pin on your switch and connect your other pin of your switch to your positive+ on your motor shield and your black wire (negative-) of your battery holder to the negative of your shield

Umm..Good,I will try it..

which is better, 2 wheels and metal caster (with a cardboard as body) or 4 wheels?Because now i didn't order anything and the 2 wheels+ motors pack is out of stock so i could wait..also i have selected a limit for me about the money..Anyway thanks for the switch, but do you mean that the switch will be in the middle of the wire?
