I don't think my sensor is working properly. Can someone help me interpret the serial monitor information?

Take a search engine of your choice and ask the WWW for ' $GPTXT ' to collect some data to be sorted out to get the needed information.

Looks like your GPS doesn't yet have a fix.
This page describes GPS Sentences or NMEA Sentences with example patterns.These GPS Sentences (i.e. NMEA Sentences) covers GPGGA,GPGLL,GPVTG,GPRMC etc.
The 'V' in the third field means "Data is not valid". When that GPS has a good view of the sky for long enough, that will change to 'A' and the rest of the data will be filled in.
