Help, LCD Problems

I have been using the arduino for a little while now for very simple things, but I just got two LCDs from Mouser and I am having trouble interfacing them. I tried the LCD4Bit Library and Tutorial, and then I tried the LCD3Wire Library and tutorial as well. Both times all I get is one row of blocks that fade in and out.

My LCD is from New Haven Displays, NHD-0216K1Z-NSO-FBW-L

Any ideas?

Here is a video of what it does: Http://www.kwik-tech.com/VIDEO0012.mp4

Its from my cell phone so it may not open for everyone, I used VLC player to view it.

Can't see the video from here, it's my PC but:-

Have you got the contrast pot connected up. Sounds like it is floating.

The contrast pot is connected and working. The blocks look like they are turning on and off and into a dim state with the heartbeat on the LED for pin 13.
