Help making or buying a led sphere

Hi i am new to all this and is my first post on here and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction, i need a sphere/ball with as many lights as possible that doesnt produce too much heat but still as bright as possible. The ball will be placed inside another ball thats printed in pla or petg that will diffuse the leds but still admit strong bright lights and then be able to have those lights produce some nice energy wave effects so it looks like you are holding a ball that gives the illusion of magic. I hope i am making sense here? I did try and look if i can buy the ball but doesnt look like anyone sells them but people have made them on youtube. Can i also ask if the arduino board can be far away from the lights using a 8ft power cable or do they have to be close to each other?

Sorry im new to all this so i dont know how to explain it better for you.

Thank you

Welcome to the forum

What sort of size ball are you looking to make and how many LEDs do you envisage having around it ?

Would a cube be an acceptable alternative ?

It's not clear what you are asking for. Are you just looking to purchase one, or do you want to build one yourself? You didn't actually say...

Purchase if possible but if not then make one if its easy enough although i dont think it is lol.

The diffuser model is around 150mm-200mm in diameter but the ball can be about 70mm-100mm as it will sit inside the model if this helps?

Thanks

I think you can follow this. This one is quite detailed: LED sphere with 194 LEDs and how to build it - YouTube

Well, it is if you follow a tutorial, and don't deviate from the exact project as it is presented.

Design a 3D model and print it.
