I just want to make sure that I'm doing this right. Absolutely new at this stuff. On the "blink" sketch, I tweaked it, add some lines, messed around and learned a few structure methods. Cool!.
Now I tried the "button" sketch". if you ask me, it doesn't work. It loads fine, then I place a pin in the "ground" terminal and one in terminal 2 for the button! Right???, then I am supposed to push the button that is connected to term. 2 and the ground term. and the light should turn off, then again it should turn on, Right???????
It doesn't seem to do that, only when I physically touch term 2 with my finger does it work right.
Windows xp, sp3, duemilanove board with ite13.
Could some one help me out please???????
Sounds like you don't have it wired up correctly. Have a look at the tutorial:
Digger, thanks. I wasn't aware of the "breadboard" side of the equation, I thought that the terminal 2 just went to ground next to 13, and that was the switch. I see now why the light was "floating" like you said, makes sense.
I'll have to wait for my breadboard and accessories coming in the mail Tuesday to get more involved.
Again, thanks.
