Welcome judo_1, that is an interesting project, what class is it for? So as to not deprive you of the learning experience your instructor is offering you I will not directly give you the answer. Start by showing us how you are going to approach the problem, how are you going to make the measurements, what hardware are you going to select and why? How are you going to power your project, if batteries how are you going to maintain charge. Since you are on the Arduino forum I will assume it will be an arduino of some type, which one? Since you will need to write code show us a preliminary start when you get the hardware sorted out. Answering these questions will give you a nice head start on your project report.
