i tried using xinput and now my leonardo is detected as an xbox 360 controller and arduino ide wont detect it. how do i fix this?
Re-install the bootloader.

Have you tried pressing the reset button twice on the Leonardo as soon as the IDE starts the upload? xinput should not have removed the bootloader, it just prevents the auto-reset used by the IDE upload from working properly.

The "unbricking" procedure is timing sensitive. You might have to try a few times.
