Help on controlling an HVAC panel

Hi all.
I have an air conditioner zone control panel which i want to acheive 2 things
Monitor the status of each zone
Turn on/off the zone
All this i want to use an mqtt broker to publish the topics as required.
The panel is a IAS branded.

Whats the best way to do this? I have some wemos d2 minis i have purchased so thought maybe use them
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Check with the manual if that unit does communicate, and how it does it.

A schematic of the module would be a big help.

Take the sticker off that processer . It might be a 328 , aka a UNO in disguise . That would tell you a lot about the circuit .

You really need to know how the circuit works before you can interact with it . That chips name might give you the leg up. You could even get a used one to play with . You need to look at the other end of the blue cable too.

Get the owners permission before you break it :rofl:It is nearly 20yrs old , have a look at alternatives too.
