Help picking the right valve

Hi,

Im trying to find a valve that can be controlled by an arduino to regulate flow of a high pressure gas. I want to be able to have the valve anywhere from fully closed to fully open, meaning I can have it half open, a quarter open, 88% open etc...

I would like it to be less than $100 but any price is acceptable.

So what piece of equipment would be best for this job? Would I need multiple components? If so how would I use them?

Any help answering these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't work of this nature need design and installation by approved engineers and fitters?

"high pressure" means what?
"a gas" means what?
what minimum controllable flow rate?
what maximum flow rate?
Details are essential here, and you are probably going to have to chase down obscure and expensive
parts for this kind of thing...

And you might need specialist knowledge/expertese to be safe. As pressure increases gasses become
more reactive (for instance high pressure oxygen is a completely different proposition from low pressure
oxygen). And large pressure differences lead to large temperature differences too, so you have to
understand what temperatures are likely to exist too.
