Im familiar with most schematics for electronics the symbols and meanings, but I have come across one that has me stumped as to what its purpose is, does any one have a clue? :o
Those are both 2 pin connectors. There is no real standard way to draw board connectors so you will see a lot of variation in how they are drawn. In your example there might be a removable jumper placed between the pins or a mating connector may then wire to some external component or connections, more assembly details would be required to tell for sure.

As said above, it is a 2 pin header of some sort... A jumper or a regular 2 pin header...

It's a 3 terminal potentiometer wired to act as a two terminal rheostat. Two terminal rheostats are rare animals these days so usually one just wires a 3 terminal pot to act the same.
