Help Regarding Nec Raw codes

hi

i am using a multimedia remote which has a button named (input) while pressing it changes the Mode of music from AUX to Bluetooth to Radio respectively

i got the code for input button (807F6897) which is working fine and it loops it in changing the mode like the remote.

and i got the full code of it while pressing it three times as follows

807F6897
Decoded NEC: 807F6897 (32 bits)
Raw (68): 12762 8900 -4450 550 -1700 500 -600 550 -550 600 -550 500 -600 550 -550 600 -500 550 -600 550 -550 550 -1700 550 -1650 550 -1700 550 -1650 550 -1700 500 -1700 600 -1650 550 -550 600 -1650 550 -1650 550 -600 550 -1650 550 -600 550 -550 550 -550 550 -1700 550 -550 500 -600 550 -1700 500 -600 550 -1700 500 -1700 600 -1650 550

Decoded NEC: 807F6897 (32 bits)
Raw (68): -4918 8900 -4450 550 -1650 550 -600 550 -550 550 -550 550 -600 550 -550 550 -550 550 -600 500 -600 550 -1650 550 -1700 500 -1750 550 -1650 600 -1600 550 -1700 550 -1700 550 -550 550 -1700 550 -1650 550 -550 550 -1700 550 -550 550 -550 600 -550 550 -1650 600 -550 500 -600 550 -1650 550 -600 550 -1650 550 -1700 550 -1700 500

now my question is i only use bluetooth mode and radio mode and dont want the button to cycle all the three modes but input press only gives one code(807F6897) whatever times we press it

can we use these raw codes to change the mode into bluetooth and radio mode

please help

thanks

viki

your remote is much likely sending the very same command every time you press that button as I'm pretty sure you have also a way to switch input on the receiver manually and the remote would never know --> all the logic is embedded in the receiver device. each click goes to next stage

AUX -> Bluetooth -> Radio -> AUX -> Bluetooth -> Radio -> ...

Since you can't know from the remote control side in which mode you start from, you don't know if you need to send once or twice the command.

if your remote never looses power and you start your receiving device in Bluetooth (let's say). then you could program your remote to send 1 command to go to Radio and 2 commands to go back to BT (with a small pause in between the 2 commands).

but if you loose power on the remote or use manual switch on the receiving device then your remote will possibly be out of sync

hi thanks for quick reply

but cant we use the raw codes somehow because there are three different raw codes

Each key on the remote has a particular code (typically 12 to 32 bits - 32 in your case) associated with it, and broadcasts this code when the key is pressed. If the key is held down, the remote usually repeatedly broadcasts the key code. For an NEC remote, a special repeat code is sent as the key is held down, rather than repeatedly sending the code

so this means it cant be done by programming

Well it can given the constraints I described above - don’t get the two systems out of sync

isnt remote sending a raw code pertaining to different modes as shown in the three raw codes

I seriously doubt it - the code sent is 807F6897 - the same the three times

ok so this project ends
