your remote is much likely sending the very same command every time you press that button as I'm pretty sure you have also a way to switch input on the receiver manually and the remote would never know --> all the logic is embedded in the receiver device. each click goes to next stage
AUX -> Bluetooth -> Radio -> AUX -> Bluetooth -> Radio -> ...
Since you can't know from the remote control side in which mode you start from, you don't know if you need to send once or twice the command.
if your remote never looses power and you start your receiving device in Bluetooth (let's say). then you could program your remote to send 1 command to go to Radio and 2 commands to go back to BT (with a small pause in between the 2 commands).
but if you loose power on the remote or use manual switch on the receiving device then your remote will possibly be out of sync
