Help:saving text stream in Arduino Serial Monitor

Hi,

I'd like to know how to save the text stream showing in Arduino Serial Monitor as a text file, similar to the file-saving style of Microsoft WindowsXP Hyperterminal.

I don't think you can save it directly, but you can copy it to your clipboard and then paste it in notepad or something alike

One more help needed:

I thought, on the Arduino Serial Monitor, Cut-and-Paste would be just a piece of cake, at first.
I gave it several tries to select-and-copy-paste from the Monitor onto a NotePad.

It would not, however, recognize any copying action (using my mouse) on the Monitor.

Sorry for my dumb question.

In the meantime, I tried several options: Pd, ..Hyperterminal.

Hyperterminal is easy to use and successful for my purpose.
