help to get mac address of a router before connection

Hi every one ...
in my project i am trying to get the RSSI of four access points ,but i found similarity of the SSID so ,i want to see the mac of the router before connection ,but the WIFI shield is not helping ,it cant see the mac without the connection and just on search ,and i cant change the SSID because they are the school property ,can you suggest what can i use to get the mac address please.

You need a WiFi sniffer ... or the free WiFi app for cellphones:
