HELP! Trying to send commands via RS232.....

Hello World! I have a project that I am working on that I need help on. To begin with, I am pretty new to the world of Arduino, so here is what I’m trying to do.

Arduino UNO w/ TTL to RS232 shield.

I want to use a momentary button to to send 2 commands to a biamp Nexia DSP. Below is what typical commands looks like for the biamp.

RECALL 0 PRESET 1001
RECALL 0 PRESET 1002

So, how do I get the Arduino to spit out these commands? (just one at a time)

Thanks in advance

George

does the shield connect to RX TX or it uses other pins intended for SoftwareSerial like this shield?

Use Serial.print() - Arduino Reference.

void setup()
{
   Serial.begin(115200);
   Serial.print("RECALL 0 PRESET 1001 \n");
}

void loop()
{

}

\n is the linefeed character. I don't use println because println sends a carriage return (\r) as well as line feed.
