Hi, I keep getting the error code avrdude:stk500_recv() programmer is not responding....
The Arduino is a nano 3.0
My operating system is Linux Ubuntu 32 bit
I can not get the power LED on when plugged in with USB
The Arduino powers up with an external power supply
Is there more information needed?
I have no clue what that error message could mean?
I am very new to Arduino and sketches. I started with a very basic, to control the lights on my aquarium. Then I was going to research some more on how I could use my mega ethernet shield with the nano. So I could just plug my 16x2 display with buttons hopefully directly into the Ethernet shield. Then eventually over time, I want to be able to make things a bit more fancy. I have much to learn before any of that though. There was bad weather today by me and lost power briefly numerous times in a short ammount of time. So I hooked up the 12v outlet on my car jumper pack for a backup incase the power turned off again. Before that, everytime the power went out I had to reload my sketch. I never disconected the 12v while using the usb, but dont think that should matter? I have tried resets and read the troubleshooting. Someone was kind enough to teach me ULs' to work with my delays. Even if something grounded?(worst case) Is there a built in fuse that can be reset? Thank you in advance.
