Give me the example with the safestring and how you handle overflow and I’ll provide the matching code if you really want that - but that’s not the point here.
The point is that you use twice the memory and some extra CPU cycles to duplicate the data when it’s not needed. There is no code needed to prove that, I think you agree it’s true.
