[HELP] Wireless USB - Possible? Please read on..

Hi everyone, been playing with my arduino for a little while and I'm still getting used to its capabilities.

Heres my question..

I have seent he very cheap RF transmitter and recievers being used to link two arduino together. My questions is that could you use this type of setup to transmit data from a usb cable from a pin input on one arduino through RF to the other arduino and out put it to the pc?

Ill try and get a schematic up of my plan  may help a lot haha.

Bert.

This is a quick example, wires arent necessarily meant to go to them pins etc but you get the idea, so I can for example wirelessly get data from my ipod or usb data stick?

How about a serial connector instead of usb? So i wouldnt have to use a usb to serial converter?

On the end where the ipod usb connector is, forget the usb and put a serial connector in place of the usb ports.

I know its nearly extinct but for what I want its a fairly expensive programming cable for a data logger.

Right..

The ipod/usb stick was used as an example to see if it was possible to do what i asked for them, so now we know it isnt.

The serial is for a new scenario whereby could i do the same as asked about the usb (i.e. transferring data from one arduino to the other - basically making a wireless cable in effect)

This serial cable will be used for an expensive data logger if it can be done, not to be used to communicate with an ipod via serial.

Sorry for the confusion.
