help with a project

hi guys,

i am doing a project, which is an interactive led light installation. i am using kinect to catch the movement and then project that movement through led lights.

things i have:
(HARDWARE)
Arduino uno
200 led lights
Kinect for windows
8 bit shift registers
and couple of breadboards

i need some help with the circuit and especially with the codes (softwares)..

is there anyone who could help? it would be much appreciated!
