help with an aquarium project but not to sure of what im doing

hi everyone im new to arduino (but im ok with small electrical projects) and after alil bit of looking around and reading i think that an arduino would be the best route for my next project. im starting to set up a saltwater aquarium and would really like to use a arduino to monitor the high/low water level in my sump aswell as the temp

Yes, this can be done.

I suggest you leave the LCD screen until you have eveything else working. The code for the LCD just clutters up a program and makes it harder to understand. In the initial stages just display everything on the Serial Monitor.

No, this is not very complicated, but if you really want to pay somebody to do this for you there's Gigs and Collaborations section of the forums.

That temperature sensor might be a problem if you submerse it in salt water. You'll need a waterproof one, such as this one.
