help with bts432e2 profet

hi.

im trying to integrate a profet into a circuit to repay a relay but am unsure as how to connect it.

it has 5 pins.

  1. GND logic gnd
  2. IN input, activates the power switch in case of logical high signal
  3. Vbb positive power voltage
  4. ST diagnostic feedback, low on failure
  5. OUT output to load

i can work out pins 1, 2, 3, 5 but what doi do with 4 do i loop it back to 2 via a resistor or something completely different.

i want to use it to turn on 10 amp lighting which is 12v using an uno to control the profet

The feedback signal tells you if the device detected an error condition. You can
ignore it.

The datasheet will have a typical application circuit, its likely a p-MOSFET plus
driver, protection and control circuitry built-in.

i have the datasheet but did not understand it properly.

can i wire the input to the switch to ground via a 10k then switch it on with 5v from arduino
