How is it not legal in U.S? All I need is a low frequency device that can at least transmit and receive inside a house, I don't really wanna buy one because it will be cheaper just to add it on my pcb in cad with the relay board. 
I guess I could compare what I need is having a wireless wire where I can send a few bytes of data over the air without using any commercial or retail rf modules thanks guys
