help with buning bootloader to a dotklok

i am having trouble trying to burn the Duemilanove boot loader to my dotklok board using a ftdi adapter please can you point me in the right direction

What dotclock board do you have?

FTDI devices handle only serial communications, you need a ISP programmer to burn a bootloader.

thanks i managed to put the avr in my uno board and burn it with my isptiny. do you know of any isp brake out boards i can build so i dont have to use my uno ?

Well I built one using a bare-bones PCB and a ZIF socket and a USBtiny. Can't give many details as I built it maybe four years ago.
