help with compiling errors [solved]

Hi there,
I'm new to this forum and arduino so be gentle. I'm trying to turn on and off 2 motors at certain times of the day and I'm using the time.h and timealarm.h libraries in my sketch, but when i try to compile it I get "Error compiling." message. even if I try to compile the example included in the library i get the errors. The errors are:

c:\Program Files\arduino-1.0.1\libraries\TimeAlarms\TimeAlarms.cpp:223: error: 'boolean' has not been declared
c:\Program Files\arduino-1.0.1\libraries\TimeAlarms\TimeAlarms.cpp:223: error: 'boolean' has not been declared
c:\Program Files\arduino-1.0.1\libraries\TimeAlarms\TimeAlarms.cpp:223: error: prototype for 'AlarmID_t TimeAlarmClass::create(time_t, voide () (), int, int, int)' does not match any class 'TimeAlarmClass'
c:\Program Files\arduino-1.0.1\libraries\TimeAlarms\TimeAlarms/TimeAlarm.h:49: error: candidate is AlarmID_t TimeAlarmClass::create(time_t, void ()(), unit8_t, unit8_t, unit8_t)
