Help with Gemma project

Trying to get this project to work :Audio-Reactive Mask | LED Masquerade Masks | Adafruit Learning System

I am brand new to using Arduino and Gemma.
I have copied the code to sketch. Verified. Then tried to upload it. I keep getting an error message.

This is the information I copied from the Arduino software:

Sketch uses 1224 bytes (23%) of program storage space. Maximum is 5310 bytes.
Global variables use 11 bytes of dynamic memory.
An error occurred while uploading the sketch

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

Please help, clearly I have no idea what I'm doing.

Please do this:

  • Tools > Preferences > Show verbose output during: > compilation (uncheck) > upload (check) > OK
  • Sketch > Upload
  • After the process fails you’ll see a button on the right side of the orange bar “Copy error messages”. Click that button.
  • Paste the error messages in a reply here USING CODE TAGS (</> button on the toolbar).

There is a special procedure you have to follow to upload to a Gemma. It is described here:
