My decision to have an interrupt at this point specifically is of significant importance as I’m controlling both the transmission of a boat motor as well as the throttle. By creating an interrupt that restarts the program at the center point of neutral I’m able to line up the mechanical detentions in my control lever with the programmed start and end points in my software without any sort of complicated calibration process .
