I just got and Arduino mini and I cant uplload a sketch to it I have done everything that is said in the instructions have it hooked up on a breadboard made sure all the connections were correct before I hooked up to the mini USB. It doesnt give an error but it never uploads just keeps saying it is uploading .
Any help I can get with is greatly appreciated and I want to thank you from the start
I think it would help if you said what your operating system was and what version of the software you have.
Do you have the correct serial port and board selected?
im using windows XP and I am using arduino 1.0 I have also tried it with arduino 021 im getting an error that says avrdude:usb_dev_open():did not find any USB device"usb"
i have had the same problem but i got it to work with the help of some guys here http://arduino.cc/forum/index.php/topic,84562.0.html
thanks for pointing me in that direction but I have already tried those things and still it doesnt work

avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x51Connect the Mini's Reset pin to ground until the moment you see the "Binary sketch size:" message, then release it. You have to do a manual reset when either the USB adapter doesn't support auto-reset.
try this again but try to release it like 1/2 a sec before you see the "Binary sketch size:" message
Get yourselves a decent usb adapter with auto-reset support and stop with this crap - please.
