Look at the printing on the TO-220 package with the pins pointing down.
Most devices are from left to right: Gate, Drain, Source.
Or for BJT transistors: Base, Collector, Emitter.
The middle pin is usually electrically connected to the flange/heatsink.
But always double-check against the datasheet.
