I need to power 2 stepper motors, arduino, LCD,keypad with the following constraint: 4-1.5v cells or one 4.8 battery pack
What are the voltage & current requirements for the steppers? 4.8V is low for the (5V) Arduino, and 6V is about one volt low for input through the diode & voltage regulator.
I don't know. I found the steppers at school and when the project is plugged into the usb jack of my laptop, the steppers run great, but when I tried powering the entire thing from a 9 volt, they did not have enough power to properly step. Would using 4-D batteries work well due to the increased current? What about a dc-dc converter to step up the voltage?
