Help with Project

Hi Everyone.....I am working on a project regarding a mobile dvr. During a triggered event, my mdvr has an output of 200ma to trigger a relay. I need to know how to take that 200ma and trigger a relay to provide 12v to a siren or safety light. If possible, once the timed alarm stops and no 200ma is present to trigger that relay any longer then the light or siren will stop. I need the light or siren to continue until I turn it off or reset it. Is this possible? Also the mdvr has wifi. If that same trigger from the mdvr could trigger a way to send a text message or email that would be even better and preferred rather than the light or siren. I thank everyone in advance for your help!!!

mdvr has an output of 200ma to trigger a relay.

What is an mdvr?
It is unlikely to have a current output unless it is constant current, if so what voltage is its maximum?

mdvr is a mobile dvr unit for recording camera footage mounted on a vehicle. When a impact occurs to the car it is capable of sending 200ma to a relay. I was hoping this would trigger the relay allowing a 12v power source to be routed to a light or siren. The 200ma can be set to remain on for up to 30 sec. but I need it to remain on until I reset the light or siren etc. Thanks for replying!

Have you got a link to the data sheet of this device?

The 200ma can be set to remain on for up to 30 sec. but I need it to remain on until I reset the light or siren etc.

I would use a two coil latching relay.

Not really on the data sheet. I spoke with the company I purchased this from and they told me what happens when a alarm occurs and what I would get from the output from the unit to drive a relay.

Please be more specific with the output. Does it provide current, or does it switch current from an external supply, up to 200mA? What voltage?

You'll need different circuitry in either case. An Arduino is not required for what you described so far.
