Help with SMS controlling the relay shield

I have it working, everything seems fine, but I want to be able to switch relays on and off with an SMS. I have tried several different things that I've found, but nothing is working for me. I'd love to be able to get it to take an input and send a text (which I can do with the reset button), but mainly I'd like to activate outputs with an SMS. I have looked for weeks on end, and I can't seem to find something cut and dry.

Please help.

It is an Adruino UNO with a SIM900 GSM Shield. Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm sure lots of people use the simcom 900 to do automation via text/sms... Any help?

What are the problems you are facing? building the circuit? programming it?
