Help with strange error

Hi

We have a customer who is trying to upload the LED_Blink sketch to his UNO and gets the following error:

core.a(main.cpp.o): In function `main':
/Applications/Arduino.app/Contents/Resources/Java/hardware/arduino/cores/arduino/main.cpp:7: undefined reference to `setup'
/Applications/Arduino.app/Contents/Resources/Java/hardware/arduino/cores/arduino/main.cpp:10: undefined reference to `loop'

He's running OSX, i've tried to replicate it on my mac but with no luck.

any ideas?

Cheers

Ewan

Does it happen with every sketch (e.g from tutorial pages)
if so I would first advise to remove and then reinstall the Arduino software.

Seems to me that the compiler can't find the sketch so there might be something wrong with (path) settings.

Thats kinda what I thought i'll give him a call and see how it goes, any chance you know how to uninstall something on a mac? I just send it to trash but I don't know for sure it removes it entirely.

Ewan

Don't know how Mac

No, sorry; but I think the manual or the web will.

I just send it to trash but I don't know for sure it removes it entirely.

It does not, until you empty the trash.
