Help with used displays

So, I've decided to open my dead iPod Classic and Creative Zen, both at least 5 years old. I'm wondering if I can use the displays (both working) for use with Arduino, but I need help in how to interface them with the board...

The Zen one:

I think there's a problem with your posted images.

Thank you, hope it fixed.

Well, pictures or no, the short answer is no.

These devices are proprietary "specials", almost certainly not used by any other manufacturer and completely undocumented except in secrets held by Apple etc.

It is possible to get these displays working with an Arduino but you will need to have plenty of free time on your hands and a lot of technical knowledge to figure out the connections and protocols.

You could search the web... at least one person has had a go at trying to figure out how to drive an Apple iPod salvaged screen here.

With cheap documented displays available on EBay etc from China it really is not worth the effort!
