Help with wiring and power

Hi everyone,
I'v been putting of asking for help as i wanted to try and work this out on my own, but im just getting confused and im worried about breaking something.

Would someone be able to help me work out the wiring and power needed to properly run my project. if i miss any info please ask.

Can't fine anymore information regarding the Meccano motor.

I'v uploaded a rough pic of how i think i need to wire it all up. i couldn't find the exact models of my drivers so i just used the ones in the software and named them.
i know how to set the current limit on my stepper driver but im having trouble working out the math. Vref = Imot x 8 x Rsen. my driver board for the stepper uses a Rsen 0.100 Ohm. now, the stepper motor says that it uses 0.67 A per coil. so would Imot be 0.67A single coil or 1.34A for both coils.
Single Coil Vref = 0.536v
Both Coils Vfer = 1.072v - <==== Im guessing this is wrong.

both driver boards need 5v for the logic which im hoping my Arduino Uno can handle. but the stepper... i have no clue how much voltage/amps the stepper needs. i read some where that the max voltage a stepper can have is its base voltage x 5 and the current is limited via the driver. So 3.8 base voltage x 5 = 19v. please please correct me if im wrong.

I need to get this right the first time as i cant afford to replace anything if it breaks.
If iv missed anything, please ask. as i failed electronics at school lol

Thank you.

You will need GND connection from the L298N to the Arduino GND.

Running motors and a motor controller thought/from a breadboard is going to be a problem. A breadboard does not allow for large current flows.

The breadboard is just for display. Iv ordered some prototype boards of amazon.

Oops, i must of missed that one. Thank you

Watch this:

seen it. still dont know if i need to use one coil or both to work out the Vref. I'v spent the last few days reading and double checking. the only power available to me is that of a 12v 1200mA power brick and the power from the usb which im guessing is 5v 1A.

The DRV8834 operates from 2.5–10.8 V.

Is that an answer or a question?
Why cant people be polite in forums?
Im asking for help and i get a one line response with no content.
Im new to electronics and theres nothing more frustrating then not knowing.
I read somewhere that even tho the stepper is rated at 3.8v it can handle upto 5 time more, 19v if i limit the current via the driver. But i dont know if i calculate with just one coil 0.67A or both coils 1.34A.
Can the arduino woth its 5v rail handle both the stepper driver and dc motor driver? Do i need a 10v power brick for the stepper driver and if i did would that also run the dc motor driver also? Or do i need a seperate power supply for each device? Arduino, stepper driver and dc motor driver?.

Who was impolite? I looked at the entire thread and didn't see any rudeness.

The one line you refer to has useful information for you if you will slow down and read. You have a 12V power brick, they are pointing out that it exceeds the driver board voltage. That is significant content, so don't say there isn't any.

Interpreting technical facts is just a fact of life in electronics. You should get used to it if you plan to invest more time in it.

Well, thats just it. i dont want to invest more time into it. im only doing this project for family. thats why im double and triple checking everything and asking for help. yes, that last comment might of been very useful. but without context i didnt know what it was for.
Would a 5v 2.5 A phone charger be enough for my project?

I don't know, I haven't played with steppers yet.

@groundFungus was appropriate in giving you a link that says 10.8v was the maximum.

Can only assume you do not know much about Forums. :frowning:

With an attitude like what you have shown you will not get volunteers here giving much help to you.

I am new to forums. And I apologise if I came across rude. I hope you and the forum can forgive me.
