HEY all I could really use your help:D TVOUT

Hello all I have attempted to use the TVOUT project available online. I have wired up the schematic correctly. I used a potentiometor in place of the 470ohm resistor as I didnt have one but measured it with a DMM and adjusted to 470ohm.

I uploaded the code and plugged in the arduino. It is connected to a portable LCD. It displays a black screen and some ghosting every once in a while but no data is on the screen.

Please help all

You didn't mention which Arduino or compatible processor you are using. I recently bought the Video Experimenter shield by Nootropic Design, and they mention in the Video Experimenter that neither the Leonardo nor the Mega supports video out. It may be you are running into the same situation. Here is the info from nootropic: Why not mega?.

I am sorry, I am using an Arduino Duemilinove atmega328.

I am not sure how much the schematic and library relies on the "exact" value of the resistors. could it be the face that I have a risistnace in the schematic that could be 1 or 2 ohms off?
Any Ideas?

I have no idea, you will have to ask somebody else. I was just remembering when I got the Video Experimenter, there were some gotchas listed.

It is connected to a portable LCD.

What is this display expecting in the way of video?
Is it RF?
What you want is something that accepts a composite video signal.

could it be the face that I have a risistnace in the schematic that could be 1 or 2 ohms off?

No you have a wide tolerance here anything from 330R to 510R will still give you acceptable results.
