Hi im new to the hobby, I took a low voltage electronics course back in 2000 but never got into the field.
i know enough to get my self into some trouble.

well im building a garden controller, ive been doing good so far, i made my 8 relay box with outlets to control various items
but i hit my first wall >:(
i purchased these 2 items SainSmart TFT/SD Shield for Arduino (5" for Mega2560) and SainSmart 4.3" inch TFT LCD Display for Arduino DUE MEGA 2560 UNO R3 (4.3" LCD) when i compile the demo code i get stuck here UTFT myGLCD(ITDB43,38,39,40,41); // Remember to change the model parameter to suit your display module! i have no idea where to find the proper info to put into this area OHHH ya i have an Arduino mega 2560.

well any help would be awesome i know this is probably a totally noob question, so i apologize in advance

And to add fuel to the fire i haven't done much coding and would like to know of a great book that can help me get started with C++
i have always had a huge interest in automation and i feel its never to late to learn some thing new and have fun with my kids

well i figuerd it out part of it was sanicrap board had jumpers that where soldered that shouldnt have been and worked threw the compiling issues and got it up and runing

It may help others with the same problem if you edit your Orginal Post and change the title to describe the problem. For example "[SOLVED] problem selecting type of board on XXXXX".

I'm not sure from your decription if the problem was on the TFT shield or smewhere else - hence the XXXX
