All of the high-current (>=100mA) shift registers I can find only sink current. I want one that sources current. Any ideas?
Relay, transistor, high current driver IC.
Low cost constant current source. One of the schematics has either digital or PWM input.
That’s an interesting idea, but I would need to build eight of them. I was hoping for something I could just hook up to my arduino without a ton of extra hardware.
Have a look at chips like the AMIS-39101-D or a FET switch like the BTS 410 or maybe just some P-ch FETs.
Also google "high side driver".
Thanks, "high side driver" was exactly what I needed. I can just buy mic2981s and use them with the 74hc595s I bought a while ago.
