I created this 3x8 HPL matrix driver to drive 3W LED's with Arduino, but it's easy to scale up. Both the MCU and HPL's are powered with 3.7V LIPO battery since this will be part of a portable device. It's built with TIP122/127 transistors to handle the higher current required by HPL's.
