HIgh Speed Colour/Contrast Sensor (Low Light Conditions)

Hi All (Newbie here)

I was wondering if anyone could help in deciding what is best for a project I am try to figure out.

Specifically, I am looking into a project using a high speed colour/contrast sensor in low light conditions. After doing some research, I am unable to determine which sensor might be the best for this project and was wondering if you had some recommendations.

The example below might help visualise if needed:

A brown rope is in motion from point A to point B, on the rope there is a coloured point or tape. The goal is hopefully to detect this change in colour in a low light situation and trigger a function say light an LED for instance. which sensor would be best suited for that?

Many videos I have seen seems to suggest either the TCS34725/7 or TCS3200 but they seem slow to detect, or should I be looking at higher range sensors or even different types of sensors?

Hope you can help and thank you for your time

Best wishes x
