Highlighted Error in sketch

I have just starting using the Arduino UNO (about a month ago). I have a question about the software. In some of the tutorials I have been watching it says that if you have an error in your sketch it gives you an error message at the bottom and it also highlights the line of code where the error occurs. I am using the software version 1,6,2. It does not highlight the line of code where the error occurs. It just gives me the error at the bottom of the screen. Have they eliminated this feature where it highlights the error or is there some option in the software I have to enable in order to get that feature to work ? I am running windows 7 - 32 bit on my PC.

in the error it will usually give you the line number that the error is on

Thanks for the information. It was very helpful. I enabled "Display line numbers" in the software. I now know where the error is occurring even though it does not get highlighted in the sketch.
