Hello!
I have a small project that I would like to make, despite some research it is outside of my noob abilities. I have the hardware so would love to hire someone for the code and a wiring diagram.
Basically I have 2 ultrasonic sensors and I would like the device to detect if someone approaches the device and trigger a vibration motor once they reach a certain proximity (ie short vibration @ 5m, 2 short vibrations at 2.5m, pulse while within 1.5m).
As I am new to this forum I think to pay for your time is the fairest option.
Hardware:
2 x URM07 Ultrasonic sensors
Arduino Nano
2x 3-5v vibration motor
If you are capable and interested shoot me a private message and I can give you more details..
Thanks again for your time!
Andrew
What's so secret in that project that you don' put the details right in here?
Haha no international secrets, its just that after posting a job it makes sense to PM
The time sombody needs to play pingpong woth PM to figure out what you actually want is more than the time needed to do the project. Without propper description you'll not get much interest - well. maybe beside the usal wuestion: What's the budget?
Hi,
I have done similar kind of project in past .Please PM me the details and Price range for the project.

Having worked in the embedded field for 37 years, I have never once had anyone tell me what their budget was. They tell you what they want, and then you come up with a price, and thay either accept or reject it.
So it's only a "usual question" for you.

Well, they probably didn't tell you because you didn't ask
Anyway, the motivation for asking a budget on this site is simply that many people don't realize they have champagne wishes and root beer money.
Instead of asking for a budget, I usually throw out a rough number if a useful quote will take me more than 5 minutes. So if I say "that's around $600" and they don't have a heart attack, I'll take the time to go into detail. Maybe it'll be $500, maybe $1,100 but it won't be $30. Otherwise, we part ways.
It's amazing how many people ask for tens of thousands of dollars of engineering and expect to pay about $200 because "that's what it cost on Amazon."
If nobody shows up, let me know. I have made several projects using ultrasonic sensors.
For instance Waterwell / Sump monitor.
Got distracted and forgot to post this before.
OP: I have a small project I did as a courtesy for a non-profit on this site. It uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect someone approaching and an IR sensor to detect a certain action and then flashes LEDs. If you'd like to use it as a starting point for your project, you can find it here as an open-source project.
