Does anyone know when the first Arduino was commercially available? I know it was started in 2005, but when were they truly available? Thanks.

Hello

Starting from september 2005 it was possible to purchase pre-mounted Arduino boards directly from the manufacturer but without a real online shopping cart. Shortly after that it became available through distributors.

So is it safe to say that by 2006 you could get them from several electronics websites?

yes by the end of 2005 it was possible so the 2006 most definitely
