HM-10 (CC2541) how to reduce the reach or the bandwith to 1-2 meters

Hi Guys!
I am developing a personal hobby project at home and I want to know your opinion about how to reduce the reach or the bandwith (Receiver sensivity and Transmision sensivity) from my device (CC2541) in order that it doesn't exceed 1 or 2 meters.
What could be the best way to reduce it? should I need to reduce the bandwithh (-20 dB) in the GAP / GATT [Software] or do I need to weak the antena [Hardware]???.

What could be the best way to reduce it?

Wrap it in tin foil. If that doesn't reduce the range enough, copper foil, lead sheeting, and Faraday cages are the next logical steps.
