HM-10 / CC41 counterfeit issue

Hi,

I bought a HM-10 lookalike (i.e. counterfeit CC41 I guess). Anyway, the CC41 seems to work in general so I wanted to give it a try.
When powering, no BT-device was found by my smartphone. The LED of the BT-device is continuously blinking and waiting for matching, respectively, as described here.

I then used putty to connect the module to my PC using a TTL/USB adapter.
"Local echo" and "line editing" are "forced on". Baud 9600, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, parity none, flow control none.
No "OK" when sending "AT", no answer whatsoever.

I searched the forum but could not find a solution. I switched the RX/TX wires to my TTL/USB adapter, just in case. Also, I connected an Arduino Nano to the BT-device and used SoftSerial to talk to the device but without success.

Anyone has a hint how to use it?

Thanks & best
