HMC 6352 Compass Unit, Chip only, How to Integrate?

I unfortunately purchased a unit like this one:

But upon opening the package only the chip was included (the Honeywell HMC 6352, without the mounting on the red board with the wire connections.) Does anyone know what I should do? Worst case scenario I spend $35 + shipping and get one from sparkfun but I was wondering if I could order just the mounting board somehow, or figure out how to use the chip myself someway. I think I may be able to solder it onto a leadless 24 pin chip, anyone know if that'd work?

edit: Probably just going to return it and order one from Sparkfun.

The datasheet for a chip often includes example circuits. From the looks of the sparkfun board the chip only needs a capacitor and two resistors. The hard part would be soldering the surface-mount chip. :frowning:
