My home water pressure varies greatly over ANY 24 hour period of time. I want to attach a sensor to the hose faucet and measure the pressure variations during 24 hr periods. I can then go back to the Water Coop and try to fix the problem in my neighborhood. I can capture this with a Arduino board & wi-fi shield to capture onto a wi-fi server for analysis and data storage.
I haven't found any project that has done this yet. I am looking for an affordable sensor probably originally destined for the automotive industry because of cost and reliability. Extreme precision are not needed for sensors on the market now, shown thru searches yields items in $130 to $2000. $15- $20 range is my budget for the sensor itself.
Any ideas on a sensor to use possibly 100 - 150 psi max. Adaptable to garden hose connection would be ideal, a coupler for different size pipes should be obtainable thru plumbing or hardware stores.
Any ideas would be most helpful.
