Hook up some LEDs and a speaker and sync the LED

To whom this may concern,

Please note, I am complete beginner to doing my own Arduino Uno projects so far :). What would be the simplest and most efficient way to hook up some LEDs and a speaker and sync the LED output to the audio output (let me know of applicable animation software's for LED output or LED types that allow this that are compatible with Arduino if you know of any). Also please let me know of any device you would recommend for charging. when powered on I would like it to simply loop. A diagram of which pins to hook the LEDs on, alternatives to soldering and a coding a file sample would greatly appreciated if you can :). FYI I have Arduino IDE software downloaded already.

Also if you get some spare time, I sculpted a Werewolf project which you can checkout if you like via the below YouTube URL. The Arduino component hardware and programming was done for me and I would essentially like to be able to implement it independently in the future with my art projects, I am currently 19 years old btw.

What I understand is you want to make a color organ that is controlled by an arduino. There are several projects on line about that. I googled "arduino color organ" and got over 500,000 hits with the first page all about construction, utube and ureadit formats. Let us know how you do. I would suggest you take your time and go through several and make notes of what you like and what was used. When you get ready to build it you will have most of what you need on your note pad.
