The Arduino isn't a radio. You need to buy a radio. You can then attach the radio to any Arduino. You then don't need any instructions on how to make a radio with the Arduino.
OK, you are going to want one of these 433.92 MHz transmitter modules.
You will actually want the receiver as well, because you are going to need to run the sketch that "discovers" the patterns your current gate controller uses - presuming it uses a fixed pattern. Or else if you are proposing to build the receiver/ controller as well, in which case I also suggest you forget it and buy a transmitter/ receiver pair all ready from eBay.
I am working on this sort of thing myself as I need to replicate a fixed-code transmitter, but I cannot at this moment recall where the sketches are to do this - I did try a search but I suspect someone else will prompt.
If it is the case that you have a gate with a "rolling" code system, just forget it and buy a suitable remote from eBay which you can encode to the gate with one of the current transmitters.
In general, it makes it much easier if you explain not what you think you want to do, but what your actual problem is, so we can advise which solution is best.
